This is a much-belated card for two challenges: FS316 and WT416. Last week's featured stamper was Andrea Hayes, aka stampinandrea, and I didn't have time last week but I knew I had to CASE this card of hers: Simply Saturday by stampinandrea at Splitcoaststampers
She has such an amazing gallery AND her own stamping business and I am completely in awe of her!
The Ways to Use It challenge was celebrating their 8th anniversary of that challenge, so we were to use things associated with 8th anniversaries. Lilacs and the gemstone tanzanite (or was it tanzanzia?) were included, which are both purple. After stamping the floral image in black onto the white cardstock, I reinked the stamp using several markers in shades of purple and stamped it onto another piece of white cardstock. I used my 1 1/4" square punch to cut out the two pieces, sponged some more purple and pink on each square, adhered them with foam stickers on top of the original image, and added a sentiment with eight little "gemstones" underneath. I also added some stickles to the purple flowers. Wish I could capture the sparkles on this card in the photo as it looks IRL!
