I love Etsy, I love woodgrain and faux bois (fake wood) and I love this shop! I actually have this clock in my favorites: http://www.etsy.com/listing/73910073...-clock-medium?
So that's what I went with for inspiration. I also used this card from my favorites for inspiration: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers (thanks, Gail).
I cut three deckle edge pieces of the woodgrain dp, embossed my sentiment three times, and tied on this fabulous wooden bead from the timbergreenwoods Etsy shop (they're in Wisconsin!!!!!). They have all sorts of cute wooden beads. I think they even have a hedgehog, which I wish I'd had for this challenge. I sponged the distress inks on the edges of the embossed piece. The embossed layer doesn't show as much as on the inspiration card but I think it adds more texture. This was a very fun challenge, thanks, Stef.
Notice all the wood references that I used: bark ep, weathered wood distress ink, wooden bead. Ha, I crack myself up. I 'wood' like it if you 'wood' comment! 'Wood' you please?
