todays WT416 challenge we were to make an 8th anniversary card, using purple, flower- lilac, gemstone - tanzania (lt purple or blue colour), traditional gifts - bronze or pottery, modern gifts - linen or lace....
well after making the card about 4 times, this is what I came up with... I started off by doing a lilac and didnt like what I saw, so completely changed the theme... this card is made with a 12 x 12 piece of double sided paper... I cut it down to make it smaller, folded it in four and then folded corner down to show the other colour... I was going to use this as a pocket but changed my mind once again...after colouring the butterflies, I added stickles and pearls and placed them on card with different heights of dimensionals...embossed the sentiment with lilac embossing powder...
Thanks for taking a peek... hope you like it....

A sweet CAS card, Marie-Alice. Love the little purple blossoms you have added to your lace. The tiny butterflies are beautifully colored and given dimension.

Absolutely gorgeous! Great artwork for the challenge. You even have 8 embellishments between the flowers and the butterflies. Did you plan that? Either way, it's beautiful. I like the dark and light purple card base. Into my favs. Very nicely done. TFS

I really like the different shades of purple you've got on this...your butterfly and flower embellishments are lovely. Great card even though it may not be what you had originally envisioned.
