Today's Ways to Use It is to celebrate the 8th birthday of this fun challenge. Thanks to all the hostesses who have provided such inspiration over the years! Linda's given us the challenge to make a card with a purple theme. Perfect for a 60th birthday card for a friend - I was stuck for an idea until I remembered the recipient had a rug in her living room with large color blocks in these shades, and the whole room was done up in plum! I used post-it-notes to mask and sponge squares. I also used a brown card stock with a bronze sheen, as Linda listed bronze as possible inspiration for the challenge.

Just when I think I have your style figured out you come up with something completely different and just as eye catching. You seem to find inspiration in so-o-o many different places, now a rug!

LOVE your modern, color blocks card! I pulled out my SU Simply Shapes, intending to create a card w/shapes. Then d/t who I was going to send it to, I switched gears to make it softer w/florals. You've accomplished a great sketch, colors, "copper" letters and sentiment. NICE card!
