Dina's (Dini) Mix-Ability challenge "Water you doing?" was to use use water with water-based or water-soluble mediums on our project to make color move. She gave several options and I sort of combined several.
First I applied ink directly to the paper using two different purples and one pink. Then I spritzed the paper with water and pushed the ink around a bit with my finger. Next, I inked up a "filler" stamp and spritzed it before stamping on the slightly damp inked paper. I think I accomplished what I was supposed to, and I like that the inked background sort of looks like folds of satin fabric.
I had this bird already colored with Copics. (I'm trying to use up those pre-made pieces I have setting around.) I inked the edges of the image panel, then cut the bg using the same Labels die in a larger size.

I love your background, and I'm so proud of you for trying something new - you even got your fingers in there, wow!! Thanks so much for playing along!!
I love what you did with the technique. I also like that you are using up things you have laying around. I have often thought of just taking a day to use up stuff! Great job on the challenge.
