It's been way tooo long since I've played in the IC challenge...but your choice tonight Stef was not to be missed! For those that know me well...you might have been expecting furniture...hee, hee, I forced myself to stay away from that category...but flames caught my eye. And I recently added the Faber Castell gelatos to my art supplies. (Thanks tessaduck for the enabling and start). I've been anxious to try them.
This Verses wood mounted stamp is an Edith Wharton quote...I inked it with black and embossed in clear ep. The candlestick was inked with the Memento Rich Cocoa and embossed with clear. I used Liquid Applique on the candle drips.
I am reminded of that childrens song, 'this little light of mine...I'm gonna let it shine'. So the way I see it, either way we are spreading light, be it from a candle flame to illuminate the darkness, or like a mirror...our smiles brightening the day of we know not who. I've lit the first match...who wants to join me?
Always, your comments make me smile. Have a lovely weekend all.

I love your candle and card Susan!!! You piece of art is much more interesting and lovely to me than the original. I love the way you created the wax with the liquid applique. Your light and originating circle of it is so cool. We still sing that song at church once in a while. The simple kid's ones are some of the best. :>)

What a fabulous card........the Limoges box can't hold a candle to it. (pun intended!) Wonderful sentiment....I'm afraid I'm merely the mirror. Alas.

Oh, Susan...you've illustrated this wonderful and inspirational message perfectly...love the swirls of color emanating from the candle and the addition of the matchstick is brilliant!
