yes, I am back in the TLC, this time all legal with the technique and a promise to READ the whole challenge and nothin' but the challenge b4 I start creating! And what a difference I saw almost immediately...thank you Joan, for a very cool technique.
Now I know about 99% of us have more DP then we will use in 2 lifetimes, but how can we go about parting with it and not hoard. I even have just about two of every beloved DP and there are times I can't bear to cut into the first sheet...pitiful!
But for my second card, I managed to put my scissors to paper on this Lavender & Lace paper. Dry embossed with Tim's vintage floral and sanded the heck outta it! Makes all the difference. The Penny Black sentiment is inked with Stazon onto upcycled packaging. A snippet of silver tule, a few petals from a silk flower, velvet brad and colored staples and there you have it!
It feels so good not to worry about the challenge police!!! just kidding. Thanks for having a peak.

Fabulous job and sentiment! It's always fun to see what your next creation will be. Love that designer paper! I'm with you too in that I hate cutting into a 12x12 even though I have enough to wallpaper the entire house!
Thanks for your wonderful and fun to read descriptions.

Oh I LOVE reading what you said about DP!!! I am afraid to cut into my more gorgeous papers. I keep thinking...well...maybe I will be better at creating next year so I will use it when I am better! Your card is gorgeous and I love your sanded dry embossing! Terrific card!
