The Blizzard of 2013! Mother Nature at her best! Showing off her beauty and power all at the same time! She is quite the talented Lady!
Considering different parts of New England, we are quite lucky! We only got ~24 inches of snow so far and fared the winds (so far! not to jinx! ) but it is still snowing and still drifting....
As any New Englander or anyone who has dealt with snow knows -- that as soon as you dig out your driveway the snow plow will come along and block your driveway again! Sure e'nuf! All that you can do is smile, shake your head, and start all over again! Take notice of the size of the truck and plow that was needed to clear roads around here.....not the little guys this time!
Yep that little black spot near the front of the picture is my car window...still need to dig out the car for work on Monday---yep should be the challenge! LOLOL
One of the best things that happened was the Governor declaring a state of emergency and a driving ban that has not yet been lifted! Only a few cars were stranded on the roads and it allowed Public Works to try to keep up with cleaning during the storm! In another show of might, Mother Nature has stirred up the seas despite the wind blowing out to sea the waves are coming in along the shore line with 15 to 30 foot waves -- Beautiful! and Mightiful.....in some cases breaking the sea walls and coming down streets or invading homes.... 84mph winds down at Hyannis last night....She is quite the Lady!
Still Snowing - Still Drifting - Still digging out -- Still hunkered down -- Still trying to stay warm and dry -- Still trying to stay safe! Thankfully it is a weekend....and maybe a little crafting to pass the time!
So that's what is going on in our neck of the woods....what's happening in your neck of the woods???
Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Elaine-I used to live in Connecticut and remember the blizzard of '78. Seeing this snowplow reminds me about how my Dad and I would spend hours shoveling only to have the snowplow go by and plow us right back in....lol Doesn't look like you are going anywhere anytime soon. Might as well make some cards. I will send you our sunshine and 70 degree temps.

You poor girl! Nasty old Mother Nature certainly did give you a whack! We didn't get a quarter of that snow here in the Kawarthas. Just enough to cave-in the roof of my gazebo! Hope you see daylight before work on Monday! LOL
