It is so good to be back making cards after a little more than a week in the hospital! This is my first card in over ten days....LOL how did I survive?!!!
This is a scenic card for Marian's teaparty. Marian has broken bones in each of her legs. This is the second time she's been in rehab for broken legs; the first was one day shy of two years ago that she broke both femurs in a fall. This time it is her lower right leg and left ankle. She's been in a wheelchair since the first breaks and will continue to be. She's got a great outlook on life and has a positive attitude. She'll be going to assisted living after the nursing home (hopefully by beginning of June). Her daughter is Mary, (marysmessages).
The leaf stamp was first stamped in a few Colorbox chalks. Then I went over with some Copic markers and blended, really softening the look. The ladybug is a button that hubby (luv that wonderful man!!!) cut the backing off for me.
This will also be for the WT challenge of GREEN The Copic markers used on the leaf were YG03, YG63 and YG67.
Thanks so much for taking a peek. It is so good to be home! Thankful for so many blessings!

Kathleen, I'm sorry I must have missed out on seeing you had a hospital trip. I'd have sent you a card if I'd known. What a lovely creation to be back with. That barn is certainly all-American but we've seen big fields of sunflowers in France and they're a wonderful sight to see. The big ladybird and leaf is a great accent to go with it and so perfect for the tea-party.

First of all, glad to hear you are back home, Kathleen, and back to crafting!! This is a gorgeous card for these 2 challenges - I really love your delightful, country scene, so beautifully coloured!! The addition of your leaf in the corner, with the cute ladybug, is just the masterstroke!!!

Kathleen, it's so good to have you out of the hospital! I saw when you commented in the favorites thread. Wow a week in there, yuck! So good to have you back at home where you belong!
You have made a gorgeous scene with this sunflower field and barn! I love how you have the leaf and ladybug in the front!
There's a card on it's way to you, it should get there on Saturday. Take care of yourself!

Kathleen, I'm glad you're back home, and hope all is well with you. I'm also glad to see you haven't lost any of your cardmaking talent... this is fabulous! Love that farmland scene! Driving by a field of sunflowers is something that is guaranteed to bring a feeling of elation and a smile to my face, and your card has the exact same effect. Thank you for that! Marian will love this one too.
