This is a card that's been floating around in my brain for a week so I'm glad to get it out onto paper! With the new mixed media challenge I'd dug out some papers I'd prepared using the CitraSolv Technique. I'm making a set of cards for some friends who are fund raising for their adoption. I love neutrals, CAS, and monochromatic cards, so this week's challenges are hitting all my buttons! This piece of paper turned out with the main colors being those of today's color challenge: Vanilla, Kraft and Black. I inked my tree in Versamark then Crumb Cake and embossed it in clear. To bring it out more, I first sponged some Crumb Cake around it then added black chalk. I embossed my sentiment in black ep. My butterfly was die cut from some neutral dp and I sponged both Crumb Cake and black to highlight its embossing. Then a simple black mat and side opening card base for a clean and classy card to honor our outgoing Color DT member Julia.

WOW what a powerful effect your background has! Had to favorite this one! It's so unique with all that texture. I too am a neutral fan. This is outstanding and imaginative!
