For the first of the new MixAbility challenges we were to use a gloss and a matt medium on our cards.
Thanks to the early post I was able to gesso some old sheet music early this morning, with DH squawking in the background. As if he's ever going to play it! Then I came home from work and went to bed with a headache, so I've only just finished it off now.
A2 MB base, stamped with script and leaf from French Foliage in Olympia Green. Old music with two coats of gesso, torn and sponged around the edges with Mustard Seed and Tea Dye.
I have two glossy things - my bird, cut from black card and covered with 3 layers of UTEE, the last layer has some blue patina Perfect Pearls sprinkled over it. And I stamped the flourish with Liquid Pearls (Avocado). Unknown music stamp, stamped over with Peacock Feathers and an acrylic block.
And when I called by the local discount store this morning to get the makings of a big pot of minestrone for the weekend, they had acrylic pastes. Shame I'd already gesso-ed my paper, now I have some lovely pearlescent acrylic medium waiting to be used, and a mad-crazy weekend ahead.

Love the extra sprinkles you gave the bird in the final UTEE layer. A charming arrangement of elements with the bird perched on the flouriish with the 'song' coming from his mouth.
