I can't believe I am getting a card on before lunch. The 2" of snow we got here yesterday would not make a snowman, so I was very happy to see this challenge.
I was already working on this birthday card for a friend who watches our dog for us sometimes and had the snowman cut out, but was trying to figure out how to get the dog stamped on the front. I finally opted for 'inside' as part of the signature. This man LOVES Rufus, our dog. Anyway I finished the card this morning and I get to mail it on time.
I used another scrap of my spotted dp that works so well for snow and then layered a negative of a Spellbinders Petite Scalloped oval on top. I glued the cutout, colored snowman inside on the bottom and let the top hang free. Then I added snow on the bottom and flakes in the air. It's always more fun when you are making the card for a particular person.

Carol, your Kraft and white bg for your snowman is great. Love your use of the dotted DP and snowflakes. The torn panel of white Swiss dot gives the feeling of snow. The "sketchy" snowman has a wonderful artistic feeling.

How adorable Carol! I love the use of the negative part of a die with that dotted paper..your snowman looks right at home there peeking out. Love the kraft and white papers!

I'm loving all these cute snowmen images in the gallery today. They are all so unique. I like the white snowman against the craft background.

How cute with that "snow" dp. All I could think of when I saw the title of your card was Sendak's "Chicken Soup with Rice" poem of months.
"In January it will be
My snowman's anniversary
With cake for him
Hot soup for me!
Happy Once
Happy twice
Happy chicken soup with rice."
Call the home...I think they are ready for me!! LOL!

This is one of the cutest snowmen I've seen - I love your color scheme - his yellow and blue scarf is perfect with the neutral tones. Love that ef for the snow.
