First off I have to mention that I paper pieced not only the paper doll's dress but her arms as well...talk about cutting out tiny pieces!! I hope you can see her "tabs"...I kind of goofed..didn't realize they wouldn't show up on a white bg...so I colored them in a bit. This took longer than I thought..it's OK..I"m not totally thrilled with it but...that's how it goes some days. Anyway, thanks for taking a look!

it was kind of like cutting out paper dolls, wasn't it? it's a very cool image. I always loved paper dolls in theory but I wasn't good at cutting them out. I always would make a mistake and cut something I wasn't supposed to.

I love this nostalgic card. I remember when my neighbor got McCall's (I think that was what it was) magazine and it always had paper dolls and clothes on one page. She would save it for me and I'd be happy cutting out and dressing my doll. So cute, Polly!!!

What a perfectly delightful idea you had for your sketch challenge. You went to a lot of work paper piecing such and intricate image. I love paper dolls too so therefore I am really impressed by your card.

I never would have thought to flip this sketch but you had just the right elements for it. My oldest DD and one of her friends adored paper dolls and kept playing with them til they were almost teens! Love your delicate piecing and vintage touches!

Sweet Victorian inspired card, Polly. I like how you flipped the sketch. The pretty lace flowers, lacy doily edge, floral DP and ribbon trims all go to make this a most charming card.
