These are the last of our St. Augustine photos. I learned that the saying: 'Sleep Tight Don't Let The Bedbugs Bite' came from necessary nighttime rituals. The beds had string supports under the mattresses which were made of straw or other natural stuffing; underneath the mattress there was a device with strings that needed to be tightened. All the bedding and materials needed to be off the floor and away from walls so the flat bedbugs couldn't get into the bedding (that's the reader digest version)
I combined challenges: Inspired by the Hobbit, Sally's sketch 308, Consider the Cardstock (ink edges/arrows, punch borders in centers)

Great job on combining the challenges. Love what you did with the sketch, too. That boarder really is the perfect touch for these pages, all of it comes together so nicely.

What a fun story, and I love your photos! Your layout looks so nice with the combination of the blue and grey. Are the borders actually two punched borders that overlap? It's hard to tell, but at any rate they look great.

Your borders really are perfect for these historic pages, Mary Pat. Love your story too--we say it all the time, but never knew the history of the saying. Love the mats and arrows too! Nicely done!

Oh terrific, I see a bed bug advertisment at the bottom of this page! No kidding! Bed Bug Patrol, kind of spooky when you think about it. Like someone is reading our posts??
Still it's a wonderful page with an interesting story to go with your images.
