Today I made watercolor paint out of my 38 colors of Pearl Ex. This card was painted with some of those colors and a few Twinkling H2Os for shading.
I took a ton of photographs of this card, trying to show off the color changes. The rose goes from blue, to violet, to pink depending on the angle of the light.
Anyway, I know I'm not supposed to send you to my blog to get instructions, (I've been warned about doing that, and I've had some posts deleted because of it), but there are just too many photos to upload here, so I don't know what else to do. I also have detailed instructions on how I made the paints.

Hi Lisa, I've had Pearl Ex for years, and always knew it had to be mixed with a binding agent or be sealed to be permanent. I've used it on decorative painting with varnish, and with my polymer clay, but I could never find the powdered gum arabic, and the liquid was between $13 and $14 for a little bottle, so I never used it on my cards.
A couple of weeks ago, I won an Amazon gift certificate, so that is when I finally sent for the Jacquard powdered gum arabic. That's when I started having fun making paint! I need some more little jars so I can make more duo colors! The gum arabic makes water colors, so you let it dry and it lasts forever.
