I am working at doing more challenges and honoring Featured stampers (and QFAD) so I had a wonderful time perusing AngelaÂ’s amazing gallery. She has such diversity in her gallery that it was pure joy to spend time there! I needed to make a birthday card and I love pink and green and I had some pink and green roses dp. So when I saw this delightful card here:
I decided to use it as my inspiration. I added another color to pick up the faint Crumb Cake color in the back ground of my paper. I wanted to mirror the dp by adding rolled roses and leaves in the colors of the roses and leaves on my dp. My other resolution is to use dies I have purchased and not used so that is why I used this die but kept the circle die as she used for my sentiment. I used pearls instead of brilliants and changed the layout of the card. I also used the solid green and pink paper to frame the card but in a different way than she did. Also my card is 5 ½ x 5 ½ square and hers is tent style. Both our design papers are made by Echo Park!
Echo Park “Love Story” dp
Watercolor Cardstock
Joy Craft 6001/0147 die
Rolled roses
Cheery Lynn Design leaves
Spellbinder circle die
Penny Black “Friends Matter” stamp
SU Crumb Cake card stock
A mixture of two green inks to get a color close to my green cardstock
