Today the challenge was to "Use Cork" Hmmm. I had to think outside the box as I don't have any cork. I do have a wine bottle cork that I use to make the sun in a scene and I considered that, but then I decided to see if I could make some Faux Cork. I didn't look for a tutorial. I just went for my cup holders again and inked and die cut a couple leaves that I thought would look like cork if you used your imagination. Please feel free to do so.
I cut the leaves, inked them with a couple colors of Ranger Distressed ink and popped them up over Here Arts Old French Writing. It looked a bit bare to me so I added the embossed strips of CS. This is all mounted on Kraft (Marcos Paper)
I think I need to work a little on the cork, but here's my first try.

Now I have to admit this does look like cork-how clever of you. This just stood right out in the gallery at me. I just love the texture and the color. Beautifully done!
