I've finally used the wood grain embossing folder I just had to have! This one is a Darice folder. The edges were chalked with blending chalk. The little chickadee is made with SU!'s Bird Builder punch; another under utilized tool.
The instructions for making the chickadee (and other things too) are found on Ann Fitzgerald's site at www.annscreativemoments.com. She doesn't seem to have posted anything in quite awhile which is a shame but the instructions are still available.
The sentiment is from a Michael's bin and the heart die is Provo Craft.
This valentine is likely to go to DH.

Wow, love how you created a realistic chickadee by creative use of colored cardstock with the SU bird punch. This one is going in my punch file for future reference. Also like how you framed the chickadee in the open heart, it really balances the design nicely. Great Valentine!
(And thanks for your kind comments on my tulip card!)
