This week, Trish named Jennifer (mother's daughter) as Queen! Jennifer is such a deserving recipient of this honor as she is so kind and giving. Plus, look at her amazing cards!!! The paper embroidery just blows me away! She also has card with VERY intricate flowers that are incredible. It was hard for me to figure out which card to case. But I remembered how she did the shaving cream backgrounds and I always wanted to try that technique, so I cased this card: Spooky Scene by mother's daughter at Splitcoaststampers
When I tried the technique, I didn't have beautiful swirling, billowing area of color. I think I mixed too much! So after my cardstock dried, I ran it thru my Big Kick with a Sizzix EF to add some swirls.
Jennifer's amazing card was made with die cuts, but I used my Cricut and the Life is a Beach cartridge to make my card.
Jennifer, I would have LOVED to make you a pretty floral card, but I have to admit, I was intimidated by the level of detail. Maybe I can make another one for you that is "pretty"!
Jennifer, you are so kind!!! I appreciate the kindness you have shown my Mom and to me! You have a very sweet and giving spirit and it has been a pleasure getting to know you thru SCS. I hope you have a FABULOUS week as Queen!!!

Wow, Kathleen. I love how you cut out the seahorse and seaweed from that square. And great job with the shaving cream background. I must admit I have never tried that technique either and it sounds like fun (although messy!)

Kathleen, this is amazing. I love the embossed shaving cream b/g (what a fun, messy technique) and the seahorse is awesome. You honored our Queen w/ this.

Mercy....shaving cream? Girl, I run from techniques, and you have a way of embracing them, and owning them! Your bg is gorgeous, and the seahorse is delightful. I was so touched by your words for Jennifer, each one true....and you made my eyes leak a little. Beautiful card, beautiful heart. Hugs....
