The Ways to Use It challenge (New Year! New Toys!) inspired me to make a Christmas card that will make my father happy. He insists that a Christmas card must say "Merry Christmas" on the front of a card. It won't do if it has any of the other Christmas greetings or just an image! He's a very fussy man - hard for my poor mother to deal with. She, on the other hand, loves all the Christmas cards I made for her to mail out, whether they have "Merry Christmas" on them or not.
Two of my new toys are the embossing folder used here which is a whole bunch of Christmas greetings and the SU Christmas Postcard which is a large Merry Christmas greeting. So to make my father happy, and to gently make my point that other greetings are great too, I layered the large Merry Christmas stamp over the embossing folder of all the other greetings!
I coloured the stamp with coloured pencils (the boughs and poinsettias) and Gelly Roll metallic pens (the bells and the words). Layered it with gold cs and used the same gold cs for the cardbase.
It's also for my January quota for the Christmas Card Challenge.

This is beautiful. I love the embossing gold on the letters. Really makes it pretty!

Wow! This is beautiful! I especially like the gold words. I hope Dad was happy with it. (I had one of those Dads who had to have things just a certain way too.)
