My 2nd card in celebration of the SCS Clean and Simple 200th Challenges and in particular, the CAS200PARTYF 'Inspired by a song' challenge. My song inspiration is "Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer" because it is one of my favourite Christmas songs. See this link for the deets on this challenge: Holiday Song Inspiration - CAS200PARTYF by Miss Boo at Splitcoaststampers There are LOTS of different CAS Challenges to mark the 200th occasion that you can play in. This is also my 2nd card for the SCS 'Ways to use it Challenge' WT404 where you need to make a card or project using your favourite things. I have used all my favourite things on my card: Dasher, Cuttlebug, embossing folder, bling, twine (what did I do before twine??), edge punch, satin pearl embossing powder (love how it looks and prefer it to just clear glossy ep) and my Scor-Pal (the BEST tool EVER!). See this link for the deets on the challenge: WT404~ Brown Paper Packages (12/6/12) by smkh1117 at Splitcoaststampers
I stamped my favourite Stampin' Up! stamp "Dasher" with Colorbox Sapphire Silk pigment ink, poured on some Satin Pearl embossing powder and heat-set it with my heat-gun. I added a tiny Basic Grey red rhinestone to his nose so of course, now Dasher has become Rudolph.
I added a Scor-Pal line above and below the image and the bottom border was dry-embossed with my Cuttlebug using a border folder from the Sizzix Textured Impressions Christmas Set #6. I love how the swirls in the embossing tie in with the swirly antlers of Rudolph.
The red cardstock bottom border was punched using an EK Success Scalloped Scallops edge punch.
I added some Fray Stop to the ends of the twine so they wouldn't unravel and look untidy.
That's it! Another card off my Christmas list - yay!
Accessories: CB, Sizzix Textured Impressions Christmas Set #6 ef, red rhinestone, Scor-Pal, twine, white + red cs, heat gun, satin pearl ep, fray stop, EK Success Scalloped Scallops edge punch
