This is one of my cards in celebration of the SCS Clean and Simple 200th Challenges and in particular, the CAS200PARTYF 'Inspired by a song' challenge. My song inspiration is "Rudolph the red-nosed Reindeer" because it is one of my favourite Christmas songs. I also made the card for the SCS 'Ways to use it Challenge' WT404 where you need to make a card or project using your favourite things. I have used all my favourite things on my card: Dasher, Cuttlebug, embossing folder, bling, twine (what did I do before twine??), edge punch and my Scor-Pal (the BEST tool EVER!). See this link for the deets on the challenge: WT404~ Brown Paper Packages (12/6/12) by smkh1117 at Splitcoaststampers
I stamped my favourite Stampin' Up! stamp "Dasher" with Versamark Watermark ink, poured on some silver embossing powder and heat-set it with my heat-gun. I added a tiny Basic Grey red rhinestone to his nose so of course, now Dasher has become Rudolph.
I added a Scor-Pal line above and below the image and the bottom border was dry-embossed with my Cuttlebug using a border folder from the Sizzix Textured Impressions Christmas Set #6. I love how the swirls in the embossing tie in with the swirly antlers of Rudolph.
The silver cardstock bottom border was punched using a Martha Stewart Arched Lattice punch.
I added some Fray Stop to the ends of the twine so they wouldn't unravel and look untidy.
That's it! Another card of my Christmas list - yay!

love this one too. I think he comes up beautifully silver embossed. I did the same on some of my christmas cards this year. Not sure now which is my favourite card, your red one or this one...difficult choice. thanks for sharing. :-)
