Hi Diane, I love this card and have been trying to replicate it ... I have my framelit and have tried to make the corner but I keep getting too much of the impression of the framelit to the inside of the white cardstock. Can you give me some suggestions as to how to avoid that? Thanks
Sure....I, too, had the framelit impression on my cardstock when I first tried it. When I did it the second time.... I placed the cardstock and framelit on a 45 degree angle and only ran it through my Big Shot until it cut the part that I wanted cut.
Another option would be to create a shim (with cardboard) and just place it over the corner/framelit area that you want cut.
Hope this helps with your card creation (happy you like my card so much to replicate it too! =)
Thank you for the help. It took some practice but I finally got it. The 45 degree technique was the winning tip! I decided to trim both the black and white at the same time so they would match and occasionally I didn't completely cut through one of the layers at one end but was able to trim with my scissors. Thanks so much for responding back and for the inspiration ... just love the final outcome and will be using that corner element more!
