This week's challenge is for Marlene, Gabby's mum, who has faced many health issues and is finding it difficult to get into the Christmas spirit - we were to bring silver ornaments or sparkly snowflakes and, for extra cookies, add pink. Well, I didn't look at this part before I made my card, did I!
I don't have any ornament stamps or dies but remembered I had this beautiful dp which I had bought last Christmas. I very simply cut out 4 squares of the dp and backed onto white cardstock and then onto the silver glitter card. Added the white ribbon down the centre and placed my "ornament" - the stars. These are gold stickers I have in my stash which I stuck onto the silver card and cut out and placed them in the centre of the card, using dimensionals.
I am hoping this will get to Illinois before Christmas for Marlene.
Thank you so much for taking a look!!

That is a great way to use some lovely DP - you can see the design but it is not just one big piece. What a lovely card (and you can see I practically ignored the directions, too!). I am saving this so I can remember how to use the dp - and because it is so pretty.
GASP!!!! Sue this is gorgeous. That dp is amazing. I love what you did here. You kept it simple with that beautiful paper and that created a special elegance. What a lovely card.

Sue, this is BEAUTIFUL. Your DP is so pretty.....reminds me of some of the lovely photography one sees in the Martha Stewart magazine. Marlene, will be tickled to get your card all the way from Australia!
