This is for Color Challenge 404 - Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler and Early Expresso. Mine is actually Marina Mist, Riding Hood Red and Early Expresso with a BG of Bashful Blue. I just got this Ippity set - Now and Always - and I love this flower. I wanted to paper piece it the way I'd seen it done in the cards that motivated me to buy the set, but since I don't own any DP I made my own. I used two of my Cover a Card stamps for the outer layers and one of the Bitty Backgrounds from PTI for the center layer, stamping the image on each pattern in Versafine Onyx and embossing with clear EP to really blacken up the outlines. Then a lot of fussy cutting and glueing. Then a lot of fussy playing around with what else to put on the card that would work with the flower. Then a lot of fussing over the photo, which I am still not happy with. A very fussy experience, but now it's done. I love these challenges. They drive me nuts.
Thanks for looking!
