I made one more offering for the Ways to Use it Challenge based on "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music. I love-custom orders, my owl punch, my tasteful Trims die, gingham ribbon (this wide, pink one in particular) and the Inlaid/Inset Embossing technique. A gal at the store where I have a card rack asked for a pink owl card for her granddaughter.
I started by punching a bunch of pink circles in various pinks. I glued them onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and embossed them in the Square Lattice embossing folder. I stamped my owl in Rose Red on Pink Pirouette then punched out the vest portion. I layered this onto a Melon owl and added white eyes and a Pretty in Pink beak. I had a scallop trim piece in Melon and added the pink gingham over that. I cut a partial scalloped oval in Regal Rose for my wings and put my owl onto a Whisper White XL Scallop Circle that I sponged with Pretty in Pink. My sentiment was stamped in Versamark and embossed in Melon Mambo ep. I cut diagonal corners on the sentiment strip.
