I went into my craft room this morning and stared at my over-abundance of supplies trying to decide what were my favourite things to make a card for today's Ways to Use It challenge ("Brown Paper Packages" - make a card with a few of our favourite things).
I decided to start with my favourite colours - blue, white, and silver. I love this Penny Black reindeer stamp and I love heat embossing so I stamped and embossed it in silver. I also love fussy cutting - I find it very relaxing (I know - some of you think I'm weird!) so I cut out my reindeer. I love my Cuttlebug and all my dies, and I love framing an image - so a silver frame for my reindeer. Most of my cards have dimensionals or pop dots in them somewhere so the reindeer's back feet are taped flat to the dp but the rest of his body is up on dimensionals to give the look of him flying out of the frame. I also love stars so I chose the blue with silver stars dp for the sky for the reindeer to fly across. And I love cards where the image takes centre stage and the sentiment goes on the inside.
So I managed to get in quite a few of my favourite things!!

Exquisite card, Susan. (I like "intricate cutting" too..I think "fussy cutting" is a demeaning phrase) Your silver just shimmers and with the light blue, it is a knock-out combination. The PB deer image is beautiful in its simplicity.
