Serendipity: discovery of something fortunate: the accidental discovery of something pleasant, valuable, or useful
I was going to use the Elf sketch, had a plan revolving around a particular stamp and couldn't find the stamp. I was about ready to give up on the challenge. But I didn't want to give up. The only way I could move forward was to switch to the Christmas Story sketch and do an early spring card instead of Christmas, which is what I intended. After all, by the time the winter design team is ended, we'll all be tired of winter cards and want to do something spring. This also could be for Valentines and we all know what we'll be doing in January and February.
I also wanted to stay true to 'simple' and what could be more simple than black on white and a technique a child could do. I saw this on youtube a while ago and a child was featured in the video. Simply drop alcohol ink on your glossy cardstock and blow compressed air across it. What you get is what you get. I didn't think I'd ever use that large circle butterfly stamp (it comes with many other stamps on an unmounted sheet) but here I am, using it. I added a border of random butterflies right on the card base, popped up the partial circle and then stamped my sentiment.
Sometimes good can come out of frustration (still can't find that darn stamp). I hope you all think it's good too.

This is very creative and your colours look really lovely - so sorry you can't find the stamp (I recently lost my Spellbinder circle dies for 1 whole week, and I am incredibly organised here in my craft room, but they turned up again stuck to the back of my Derwent Pencils as they are on a magnetic pad!!).
