It's Teapot Tuesday and today Sabrina has challenged all of us to create an oriental tea experience. I was a brand new Air Force bride in 1967 living outside of Tokyo at Yokota AFB.... I fell in love with tea and all of it's accessories. Haijima is the little village that we lived in. I've been collecting teapots and oriental items ever since. Sabrina has a gorgeous oriental teapot that we took our inspiration from. The geisha on my card are embossed with gold. The teapot charm is by Blue Moon. This week we are sending our cards to each other. Last Tuesday of each month we make cards and through a secret drawing send our cards to other teapotters. Wonderful teapot Sabrina....thanks for sharing it with all of us. I'm anxious to see all of the cards in the gallery.

I love the beautiful image against the pretty blue bg dp's, Tina!! The little teapot charm is sweet! I love the story of your early years of marriage as an Air Force Bride, living in Japan!

, you picked up the blue from the teapot so nicely, and I always liked that DCWV pad. Your image has me singing songs from the Mikado, starting with "Three Little Girls"!! Thank you for sharing your own story. Last year my sister and her husband were in Paris not long before his b'day, so I'd told them to look out and get something he'd like as his present from us. He got a lovely teapot as first seen in a little Vietnamese restaurant they've been to several times - the owner told them where to get one. We went to the same restaurant this year - I was enormously taken with the actual jasmine tea, which wasn't leaves but twigs. It still tasted totally of Jasmine, but without any of the tannin that you get from leaves. I'm on a quest to find some!!!
