Yikes - I didn't manage to get a very good photo of the teapot and I haven't been able to get one that shows the card off very well either! It is prettier IRL, I promise .
5 3/4" square base, blue Bazill doodled with a Krylon leafing pen. The main layer is a bamboo template;after sponging some white card with green I laid the template over it and sponged through it with Versamark and then dusted with Perfect Pearls, added stitching.
Asian Artistry flower coloured with distress inks, layered on blue Bazzill.
Lydia's sweet Paper Doll tutorial is so much fun. I added a swallow from Carte Postale embossed with gold EP.
I'm a leaf-tea gal, just as I grew up with the sound of the coffee-grinder as the first sound in the morning. My DH, being a good Irish lad, grew up totally on tea-bags and instant coffee if coffee at all. When we started dating, I just automatically made him Lapsang Souchong, since it was what I drank in the evenings. He occasionally drinks it for a trip down memory lane, but he finds it so smoky and can't believe that he drank it without murmur all those times. Ah, what love will do!!

Hey Sabrina! Thank you for all the wonderful tea info. The Captain would be proud to know his gift is in such appreciative hands. I was at a "steeped tea" party a couple of weeks ago and that was the first time I've heard some of the information that you also share here. They said white tea is the richest in antioxidants, so I had to order some of that!! Your little Japanese doll is darling-oh to be a tall skinny doll?!! I like how you've backdropped her with that wonderful gold paper and the cherry blossoms.

Love the teapot and love your card which is made even better with the story! When you first sent the tea information I was excited as I worked a couple of years in a tea room for a friend when I first retired from teaching. I learned so much about tea let me tell you. Up until then I thought a Lipton tea bag did the trick. Silly me. Thank you for the challenge, thank you for the memories.

Your picture turned out good...:0)...I know they are never like the RLcards. I loved your lil tea story. Kind of like our house. I drank the odd cup of tea when I was younger, but started coffee later on. but hubby is Enslish, and our t-pot is on like 24/7. I have learned since first married to NOT run out of tea or milk...lol..either earl grey or english breakfast for morning and cinnamon or chai at nights...mmm....:0)
This lil doll is so cute. I am glad you shared the tutorial link too, going to have to give it a try, as my BIL loves Japanese things. Cute little stocking stuffer.
Love your lil golden sparrow and gold paper with the pretty branch in behind...lovely....TFS..:0)

I am so addicted to coffee, can't start my day without it. But everyone tells me tea is better for you, so maybe I should try to learn to like tea...
