This card is for today's Featured Stamper - Ally (aka thecircleguru). Her gallery is filled with so many beautiful and artful creations - but my heart skipped a beat when I saw this one: { AllyÂ’s Beautiful Cardinal Peace & Joy Card }
I just kept coming back to that card - soooo, I CASED it!! I kept Ally's basic Cardinal theme but used only two layers with a different Cardinal and similar sentiment.
The SU! Bird image was stamped in a light color (Daffodil Delight) so all areas could be colored OVER (no black outlines, no black shadows from the stamp, etc.) The bird, leaves and berries were colored using Copics, then the image was fussy-cut, and mounted/popped over the die-cut pine leaves. The Sentiment was stamped on the oval die-cut, then everything was mounted over the base panel.

Audrey, your wonderful work just catches and holds the eye as it wanders over all the delightful details you incorporate to make your little paper masterpieces. Love how you did the cardinal and then fussy cut him beautifully and adorned him with leaves and berries and even made bakers twine look elegant!! Hugz and all the best blog creating
