So late last night when the HYCCT Prize Drawing Thread was going strong, the ladies were helping Connie (stamp300) with ideas to fill a very specific Christmas card request. Based on this card http://iminhaven.blogspot.com/2012/0...ed-carpet.html and this use of a die cut for the fish Tasteful Trim Die as Fish and Water!!! by luv my dolly at Splitcoaststampers, I put together my own version when I couldn't fall asleep last night.
I used the layout from the sketch challenge taking the liberty to make the top square into a circle. I embossed a piece of Tempting Turquoise with the CB ef. I stamped my kelp on Gumball Green in the same ink and cut it out then decorated it with some gems. My fish are Pumpkin Pie cut with the Tasteful Trims die then handcut to the individual fish. I drew the faces with a black gel pen The hats are Real Red hearts with accent poms and trim in whisper white. My sentiment was inked with Versamark then Gumball and embossed in clear. I sponged a bit on the edges. The back panel is Pacific Point embossed with the Chevron ef. This one is a real collaborative effort from the great friends I've made in the Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Forum. I will make a few more of these to give to my kids' swimming coaches!
