The SSIC challenge for this week is to make a card for a child. While my child is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to take his driving test, I could identify with the mom of the little ones who had a heyday in the playroom. Children truly are a gift from God, and sometimes waiting for one is a painful experience. After many years of waiting, praying, and weeping, we were blessed with one boy who has brought us so much joy and delight.
As he earns his driver's license, I will truly miss being his chauffeur. I'll give this card to him as a reminder to love God with all his heart and to remember the talks we had as "we went along our way" (which is what the following verses in Deuteronomy charge us to do) . Some great spiritual truths were shared while he was buckled in behind or beside me.
The papers are scraps in my son's favorite colors, and the truck was cut on a Cricut using a free file from the SVG Shop.

I appreciate you sharing your heart with us. We have 4 boys and I loved being their chauffeur. I must say it kept me on my knee's praying for them when they started to drive. Our first Grandson is now driving. WE are so blessed to have the Promises of God to wrap around our dear ones. Your card is perfect for what you intended it. Thank you for sharing it with us.
