I'd already picked out the green yarn to use for Stacy's Comfy & Cozy challenge but I hadn't got any further. Listening to the Rememberance Day service on the radio this morning, I got out a poppy stamp and was lucky to discover some super-knobbly red fibre I could layer over the yarn, which is from one of those twisty scarves!
A2 kraft base. Inspired by the yarn I added three strips of embossed Bazzill, and tied the yarn and fibre round it. Dragonfly Laser image stamped on what SHOULD have been Bristol Board but was evidently in the wrong pile since it didn't take the ink well, and coloured with distress inks - Forest Moss, Festive Berries, Frayed Burlap. Edges sponged, I added a postmark from French Foliage and layered it up on red. Added some black pearls to finish it off.
Time taken - 23 minutes. It appears that if I don't turn the computer on I can make cards much faster! And with a tidy desk I could be a whizz, LOL.

Poppies are some of my favorite blooms to color and the colors of this just POP Sabrina, I love that fuzzy fibers you added to this too. Thanks for playing!

Lovely! That three color BG is a great touch and the rough yarn plays nicely against those sweet flowers! You are really masterful at achieving that distressed look!
