Today the Ways to Use Challenge has its turn to have its 400th challenge, so first of all thanks to all who've hosted and worked to make this challenge happen. Our challenge was to make a thank you card or one for a veteran specifically if we so chose. My DH and I have a good friend who is retiring this Saturday after 30 years of service so I'm dedicating this card to Lou! I went for a deconstructed flag look. My base is Cherry Cobbler embossed in a thank you ef by CB. The stars strip is Midnight Muse in a CB stars ef. I embossed a white circle with the Striped ef and then used my ink pad directly to the raised areas to add the Cherry Cobbler ink. I used various alphabet stamps to stamp in Whisper White and emboss in white ep on the smaller circle. My bow is crumpled Cherry Cobbler seam binding with a star brad. The inside has a white panel with the stars embossed across the bottom.

What a fabulous card, Gail, to honor your friend who has given 30 yrs to the service of our country. I like the thanks in many languages and your "deconstructed flag" is a wonderful modern touch.
