So, I got new goodies from Mr. Brown today and decided to play in the color challenge....I had looked at the challenges earlier and thought I remembered what the challenges were (forgot which dessert went with which challenge though!) My 10yo DD asked me how my new butterfly punch worked and I showed her by punching the label from a new ef. I kind of liked the look of the butterfly with the chevron print so I kept punching...I noticed that the reverse of the two wings looked like the optical illusion with the chalice in the middle and the two faces on the side....long story short I decided to put my card together revolving around punched pieces from my new butterfly punch which I punched this time with Crumb Cake dp and adhered to a Night of Navy circle. I had a punched strip of Cherry Cobbler that I put at an angle. I stamped the Artistic Etching design on some Vanilla in Cherry then punched my heart and sponged the edges. I'm not sure the card went quite where I wanted it to go, but such it is. I hope you can see the faces that caught my eye.
*I felt like my sketch was one I'd used previously that was from a sketch challenge and sure enough, when I went back thru my gallery I found that it was from a previous CAS sketch challenge based on a sketch from Tenia Sanders-Nelson.
