The pinterest inspiration photo reminded me that mums are fall flowers. The colors in the photo allowed for the use of red, yellow and green. I used three different punches for the flower that I punched out in yellow and then used a water brush dipped in SU Raspberry Ripple to color the petals. I added a Sizzix tattered leaf. The center is a 1/4” strip of green card stock, snipped and quilled. I used a Sizzix scallop die and layered the positive and negative cuts in the border.
I like the idea of no sentiment because it would take away from the focal point and the flecks in the handmade paper scalloped border.

Your flower is absolutely amazing! It looks like you went and plucked one from your garden and put it on your card. One of the most realistic handmade flowers I have ever seen! Your card design is simple and gorgeous!

This is breathtakingly beautiful! The flower you created is magnificent; so realistic that it looks like a freshly plucked bloom. And the oversized scallops, directed inward carry the eye perfectly across the line of the card highlighting the gorgeous flecks on the handmade paper. Sigh...wonderful, all of it. Definitely a CAS Fav of the week, month and year!
