This is my entry this week into the MIU Challenge, I am not sure, but it is something that is mainly other than paper. Well this is sort of that, haha.
The wire wrapped beads are made from paper, strips of magazine pages and when rolled up, I have placed a finding like a head pin, but with the ring on the end, through them and made another loop at the other end.
Then they are dipped in UTEE until they stop bubbling and then hung to dry. I had to cut the holes in the wires with a craft knife to remove the UTEE from them.
Then I wound 26 gauge wire around them. Then I made the necklace and earrings.
The main thing I learned here was that the paper darkened oh so much. Next time I would use much lighter paper with just bits of colour on it.
Fun project.
