Another CONGRATS to AudreyAnn for being crowned this week. This is the second card I cased. Ever since I saw it, I've wanted to attempt to do a rendition of it in a simpler style, cuz I don't think I could pull this one off of hers:
I used this stamp set that I bought b/c I just fell in love with the horse. I was going to try and color it some; but, for this card, it didn't seem to need it. I didn't even sponge the panels. It seemed to pop more to leave as is.
I used the houndstooth b/g like Audrey, but I used a different image with only 1 horse, used the distressed striped ef on the brown panel, added a sentiment from the set, a small array of leaves with a corduroy button and thread, silver star brads to match the feautre I wanted most on this card - the horse charm. Audrey is famous for her use of charms. I love them too, but can never seem to find a way to get them on my cards. I did this just for you Audzi!
Another congrats Audrey! I didn't think I could case your cards and now I want to case a bunch on them, mostly on a more simple level cuz I can't do them the way you do. I hope you enjoy. Hugs!
I think this here horse is lookin' for a Da Man ... hmmmm.... I used the sentiment for all our Wild, Wild West stampers who go plain crazy over Da Man. Looks like the horse is waiting for a visit just as we all are. Oh, that darn "Da Man" is always causing heartbreak!

Pamzi, this is wonderful! I love the image and sentiment - my Mom bought that set and I need to borrow it. The charm and button are perfect too. You did a bang up job on this case of sweet Audzi - I know it made you smile when you did it as I know you two are so close being Twinzis and all (I smiled when I did mine so I know you were grinning ear to ear). Many hugz Sis!

Oh, what a cool horse. He need only to look in your closet. Hee See, I remember where you keep him. I love this color combo. You've just reminded me that I meant to use a charm on the card I did for Audzi..I forgot. Wonder what we can chalk that up to?? Never mind. Don't answer that.
Your card is a real winner. Audz will be pleased you managed to do two for her.

Somtimes it's best to leave stamps just as they are without all the added coloring, and in this case, you got it right! Your star brads and horse charm are such wonderful accessories for this manly creation~
