Now that the HYCCT challenges are complete, I can get back to doing more of the daily challenges. This is for the Color challenge given by the extrememly talented Karen Barber and she chose VERY VANILLA OR WHISPER WHITE, CHERRY COBBLER and OLD OLIVE. I LOVE this color combo!!!
This is also for today's Free for All challenge hosted by the always adorable Dawn Mercedes! She asked us to distress before we stress.
If you notice in my photo, the card on the right is how I stared out. This is a DCWV pre-printed card. I used my copic markers and used R59 Cardinal and Y95 Pale Olive to color right over the image. The I sprayed alcohol over everywhere I had used the two markers. Then, after drying, I FLIPPED it over. So you cannot see the pre printed lines. I sponged with TH peeled paint, a little Mustard seed and a little Tea Time. I really like the softening of the image!
I distressed all the edges except for my Very Vanilla card base. Then I added the gorgeous Prima flower and some beautiful FELT leaves given to me by Jennifer (Mother's Daughter). They are so incredibly soft, like puppy ears : ) !!! Thank you so much Jennifer!
Thank you Karen and Dawn!!! These two challenges worked so wonderfully together!!! Thank you for taking a peek too!

Really PRETTY...thanks for explaining how you created this lovely card...I love the way the alcohol gives this a soft, dreamy effect...Your flower and the felt leaves go perfectly with this card and the color combo. Way to rock both challenges Kathleen!

What a beautiful effect from this technique! I love the softness of your images ... and that gorgeous flower just completes the card. Great job on combining these two challenges.

A beautiful way to combine both of these great challenges. I love the way you did those roses on your card, and the other flower is awesome too.
