Growing up in a snowy climate I loved to sled and play out in the snow...build snowforts, snowmen, getting those rosy cheeks and wet, soggy mittens! I think we only had one or two snow days during my school years..our school was really tough on that policy. Well, nowadays, it seems the standard is not so high when it comes to closing the school or keeping it open. When I see the name of my school on a "closed" list after a big storm I inwardly cringe....how I longed for those snow days!

Awww!!! You look so adorable in your snowsuit and scarf blowing in the wind! Who's your cutie companion? The embossed snow flakes with the light blue stickles are so pretty! Love the die cut houses in the background too! Super Duper cute Pol!!! (Your coloring is FAB...those pink cheeks are da bomb!)

Polly, I think we went to similar schools...we never had a "snow day" (unknown term). I grew up on the shores of Lake Erie so we had plenty of deep snow! : )
Love your little sledding cutie...reminds me of winter fun too. You have created a wonderful nostalgic look at snowy fun.

Such a fun winter scene! I remember snow days too which were few and far between in Chicagoland. In VA they closed not only the schools, but malls, businesses, etc when snow came. Here in Northern Indiana they have fog delays and sometimes have to close down school because it is too cold for the kids to be outside waiting for the bus! My home-schooled kids don't get snow days though we sometimes get extra students on those days when friends join in.
