My Halloween card for my granddaughter, she is too young to relate to most characters related to the holiday but she knows cats and mask so Mo ManningÂ’s image was perfect!
I pulled out the long ignored Prismacolor pencils for this image and hereÂ’s the list of colors used:
Shading around image - Parma Violet 1007, Imperial Violet – 1008, Warm Grey 70%, Eyes – Spring Green 913, Ears – Light Peach 927, Blush Pink 928, Fur – Cool Grey 20%, Mask – Black 935, Pumpkins – Pumpkin Orange 1032, Mineral Orange 1033, Yellowed Orange 1002, Stem Sandbar Brown 1034, Green Ochre 1091
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. I used an Exacto knife for this project. I cut up to the out of the box image then used scissors to cut under the image and itÂ’s a rough cut of the image shape to help give it stability. For cutting the out of the box image the Perfect Squares tools works perfectly for me.
The bat buttons were sewn in place with a needle and thread, for me itÂ’s much easier and faster than waiting for glue to dry and I doubt the toddler could pull them off either.
