This is for HYCCT1226, make a project to support someone that may be having a "ruff" day. Your project must have a dog on it. I found this image in one of my print programs and just fell in love with him!
He's matted behind a deckled rectangle and framed in blue. Because I'm mathematically challenged I actually worked from right to left across the card stock to cut the frame and determine where the folds needed to be. Because the matted image is mounted behind the card front with foam tape, I created a 1/4in spine, which turned out to be bigger than I needed. I die cut a tag to match the mat, computer generated the sentiment and traced around it using the die opening. The white looked really stark against the green so I stamped it with a screen stamp in a matching green ink. The daisy is a button that I cut the shank off of before attaching it to the tag with Glossy Accents.
To compensate for the depth of the spine, I made a big yellow dimensional flower for the inside of the card, and added a computer-generated greeting that says "Hope tomorrow is better". ** link to inside if you would like to see- Dog-gone It Inside_jlb by jodylb at Splitcoaststampers
Since the edge of the back of the card ended up just slightly longer (wider?) than the front (!) I trimmed it with a scallop blade on my paper trimmer. I don't think it shows in the photo, but it actually looks really good - I may have to do that more often, lol!

Awww...the little puppy is sick! What a cute card! After all that you described, I would have liked to have seen the inside. I'm sure it is a pretty as the front!
Thanks for participating in the HYCCT "Who Let the Dogs Out?" challenge!

LOVE the vibrant, (almost colour-blocking ?) way you colour your image. The style reminds me of a certain peice of art work but I can't call to mind which one. If I ever find out I'll come back and let you know. Thumbs up from me!

Oh dear, I thought it was clear that the image is computer generated.. I only WISH I could color like that!
