I got in a strange mood yesterday, and something I saw inspired me to make a mummy tag. We don't really celebrate Halloween, but it's fun to make cards anyway - I tend towards more cutesy images when the time comes. This is a rectangle die cut from chipboard, and wrapped in drywall tape. I brushed on some homemade gesso, then tried to speed dry it with my heat gun - those areas that are looking a little aged there are actually scorched. Ha! I didn't have googly eyes, so I used raindrop dies from the Sweet 'n Sassy cloud dies set to make some layered eyes. It's dorky, I know, and it quite resembles a frosted mini wheat...................... but it was fun to play.

Tee hee, I often scorch things too. Well, I'm using a DIY heat gun rather than a craft one, so it may well run hotter. That's cute, Dina, the gesso is perfect on the tape to give a real authentic mummy look. I don't like all the hardcore Halloween stuff either, but I'm ok with cute.
