My first attempt at something with crayons for the WT yesterday was a write-off. So I resorted to the Crayon Resist tutorial, since I have several white crayons acquired in a vain attempt to succeed with the crayon rubbed embossing.
Jeanne's F4A challenge today gave me the impetus to think, while at work, how I could finish it off and make a card for one of the HYCCT challenges .
I enjoyed finding enough letters to fit Lori's HYCCT Spelling Challenge, since I already had the T from my torn edge.
A2 base. I stamped a HA script stamp down the edge in Frayed Burlap, and sponged Broken China along the inner edge.
Paper is BG Basics Manila, torn and sponged, with lace added along the edge.
I found the little yellow flock-paper butterfly in my box of punchies .
Image panel is the poppy from Oh So Lovely stamped on glossy card with StazOn. I coloured it with distress inks and then coloured over it with a white crayon before sponging with Peeled Paint and Broken China while still in the die. Edges sponged with Wild Honey. I added some pearls and popped it up on foam.
H - half pearls
Y - that ubiquitous yellow
C - chevron edging on the lace
C - crayon resist
T - tearing, text stamp.

I like the little bit of blue sponging showing on the text section. It ties together with the blue sponging on your focal image. Very pretty card, Sabrina.

Lovely! Like everyone else, I think that sponging that blue along the torn edge is a sweet and clever detail, and really balances the card!
