Little by little I am getting some Christmas cards done. I may actually have enough ready in advance that I don't feel the usual pressure as the holiday approaches.
This is one of my favorite sentiments. When we lived in St Louis I was involved in the drama ministry at out church. Our pastor wrote plays every Christmas and Easter. It was a privilege to be just a minor character in the telling of the stories. Most of them were set in a contemporary setting with vignettes of Biblical times. Kneeling at the foot of the cross during those times always brought me to tears. Tears of sadness for Jesus' suffering, tears of joy for the gift it was for me. So needless to say when I saw this sentiment I had to have it. Yes the setting was humble that Christmas night, but the cast was oh so Divine.

Ah.....the tender heart of a precious Sister, displayed on paper. Your story made me teary eyed to think of those times when the Master has touched my heart as well. It is too amazing that He would love us so well. Your creativity is divine my friend. Thanks for sharing your art with heart! Love ya Sistah!

This is a beautiful card. I love your coloring, and that sentiment is wonderful. The image and the way you colored it reminds me of some of the pictures in the books at Sunday school when I was a child. So simple and beautiful that you just want to keep looking at it and thinking about that wondrous birth.
