Hi Everyone!! Congratulations to Shirley (aka Wanna be creative) for being chosen as this week's Queen for the Day!! Shirley - I had a blast looking through your gallery - not only are you super creative but you're also a cowboy and animal lover. Your cowboy cards are d'best!!!!!! Love love love them.
But I have such a soft spot for dogs - and yours are absolutely precious. We also have a White Boxer - our second dog is a large breed Terrier Mix. I was cracking up when I found this AWESEOME card: { ShirleyÂ’s Card} I love the part about Bandit insisting the car be PINK - "because you just don't tell a big white boxer NO"... I told Hubby about this and he was LOL. Because IT'S SOOOO TRUE!! Ours talked us into feeding her an hour early today - and hubby said - "I guess we'll feed her - you can't tell a big white Boxer NO!" LOL!!!!!!
Anyway, that's not the card I decided to CASE, although it did give me inspiration. Here's Shirley's wonderful scenic card that inspired mine: { ShirleyÂ’s wonderful Barn Raising seq Card }.
Changes were with shape, my scene is behind the frame, added cut-out trees and sentiment, hemp is along top rather than the side. Yesterday I went to a stamp/scrapping show with Pam124 and found this great tree-stamp. Also found lots of fun die-cuts!!!!! I used my new Cheery Lynn Designs Dutch Scallop Square Frame to create the frame for this card.
This card is for my DH - in celebration of our 18th Wedding Anniversary. It was actaully on the 8th- we wanted something casual so are celebrating with a nice dinner together tonight.
Thanks again Shirley for your inspiration - and CONGRATS to you!!!
Thanks everyone for looking!
Hugs,
Audrey

Oh, what a beauty we have here, Audrey! I can definitely see the love that went into making this for your husband. Congratulations on 18 years of wedded bliss and many more to come! I love the way you colored your sun; it really stands out and the warm glow that shines through these trees looks amazing! Such a perfect masculine card for a special occasion! And what's this about 3 more weeks till baby Audzie? 'Splain that one please.....

Ooh, awesome lives here! Wow..what a scene. I can't believe you went shopping with Pamzi. I 'm sure there had to be some sort of trouble stirred up somewhere along the way. LOL YKWIM....yes, you do..
I had to go take a look at the pink car and the boxer card you were talking about...how funny and too cute. Shirley loves her boxers. And, I am certain she loves this creation. I sure do. Happy Anniversary!

Oh, Audrey, congratulations on 18 years. I pray you have many more healthy and love filled days together. Your card is amazing, as is the coloring. Love the 3d effect your framing and shading has given it. (BTW, thanks so much for sharing your story about your beloved boxer -made me LOL. I am such a dog lover because who else besides them loves us even when we have a bad-hair day - LOL).
