Made for the HYCCT movie inspiration challenge. I used the 1979 movie with Bette Midler, playing a drug addict called "The Rose". As soon as I saw this challenge, the song started playing thru my head. Just like coming successfully thru a drug addiction, fighting cancer can seem like a long and lonely road. However, on the other side of surgery, chemo, and radiation is still a beautiful person inside and out needing some extra love to bring their fullest potential out again.
"Just remember that in the winter, far beneath the winter snows, lies the seed that with the suns love, in the spring becomes the rose".
Background paper is the lyrics from Bette Midler's rendition of The Rose copied and pasted into MS Word; then repeated until the card stock page was covered. Stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company. Colors were inspired by last week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger inspiration pic. OK, your card just gave me chills - I love how you printed the lyrics for your background paper! So beautiful, and I love that song too - especially the part about 'the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live.' Truly inspiring. Thank you so much for playing along with my challenge, and supporting Hope You Can Cling To!
