For today's HYCCT challenge, Dini asked us to make a card inspired by a show tune! Any song (title or lyrics) from any musical or movie. I selceted the song, Seasons of Love. Maybe you would know it a little better by it's first line, "Five Hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes..." from Rent.
I stamped my Magnolia background stamp three times ( I could barely fit three on a card) and colored with my Copic markers. I added just a little stickles on the winter season.
This card is also for the Free for All challenge. Dawn asked us to use our dies or electronic cutters, create a negative shape. Then fill that shape in with a patterned paper or other contrasting paper. I didn't see the make it a focal point until just now as I am posting this. Oops. Maybe you can forgive me, since it is going to the HYCCT? Pretty please?!!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Gorgeous card! You did a wonderful job coloring the central images -- I really like how you used different colors and intensities to convey the different seasons. This card is a great example of how a single stamp can be used in multiple ways.
What a great way to use a stamp differently - I had to look twice before I realized it wasn't 3 different images. I really like that you cut around the birds and sun in each image

Wow, Kathleen...this card is not only outstandingly bright and happy, it is also "interesting"....never used that on a card before, but your card just draws one in to see everything that's going on. Love it!

Fun! Love the way you captured a different season in each scene. Thank you so much for playing along with my challenge, and supporting Hope You Can Cling To!
