Jeanne challenged us to make a shaped card today. A terrific challenge that brought so many ideas to mind. I decided to keep the shape simple, highlighting this scene. Lighthouses are a sign of hope, so I kept the sentiment simple too.
I cut out the image, then attached to the same shape that I had cut just off the edge of folded cs. Did lots of sponging and tried to give the effect of rays from the lighthouse with yellow. Not sure how well that shows in the photo.
After stamping, I noticed that "Hope" wasn't straight, but maybe you'll think I meant it to be tilted. LOL! I stamped "Hope" in Not Quite Navy rather than black so the scene would remain the main focus.
I sponged everything except the red stripes on the lighthouse and the pink house which I did with Marvy markers.

That's so funny - as I was cutting mine and trying to think of long tall stamps I wondered how it would look sideways. But then I decided that the logistics of getting it to stand were beyond me this week. I really like your lighthouse scene!
